Jenn Bracken is the Assistant Residential Director at Kolob. She has been in the "helping" profession for many years. She worked at Kolob from 2002 until 2010, and then took a 12-year hiatus gaining related experience in youth education and youth care. Over the years Jenn has been a case manager for low income families, a case manager for victims of domestic violence, a youth teacher, an academic manager at a youth program, a youth mentor, youth advocate, and a shift lead (lead mentor).
Jenn returned to Kolob in May 2023, where she was excited to come back to the family-like/relationship-based treatment model at Kolob which she had missed. Soon after returning, she stepped into the role as the Assistant Residential Director. Jenn was thrilled to return to the program where she first found her passion for helping youth in treatment.
Jenn has a passion for the equine part of our program and has seen it play an influential role in healing and growth for youth and adults alike. Jenn loves Kolob and working with students. She looks forward to every day she is working at Kolob. She likes crafting, playing games, and taking our students into town for theater performances. Most of all, she loves the one to one conversations she gets to have with students during their stay at Kolob.
When not working, Jenn loves to spend time with her family, jeeping, camping, and spending time outdoors. She is also getting ready to start a Masters of Social Work program.
